Orffa has a project running on the reduction of methane excretion by ruminants, amongst others by its natural botanical product Alliin Plus. In vitro trials clearly indicate a significant reduction, and trials are ongoing in vivo to confirm this observation. Initial results have been published on renowned international scientific platforms.
Clear advantage is that Alliin Plus is an all-natural product, making it easy to certify for organic feeding systems. It is also unique that no adaptation of rumen microbes occur, which is often an inconvenience of other rumen modulators.
