Elovital Brewer's Yeast

Elovital Brewer’s yeast is a high digestible protein source, contributing to a tasteful animal feed, which is used in livestock, pets and aquatic species. Brewer’s yeast is a protein source obtained during the beer brewing process. The product is a highly palatable protein source rich in vitamins and minerals, without anti-nutritional factors. It is a pure protein form with good gelling properties, due to an equally distributed suspension of yeast-cream in water. The gelling properties will contribute to a homogeneous distribution of the brewer’s yeast in liquid feeds or petfood. It contains a remaining hop extract and is known for its co-factors beneficial to animal health and performance. Supplementing the Elovital Brewer’s yeast fits well in a circular agro-food system, which is promoted by the European government in the Green Deal.

Brewer’s yeast from the strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is a natural protein source, rich in vitamins, specifically B-complex vitamins, and minerals, including calcium, zinc, iron, copper, selenium, and phosphorus. Due to the high palatability of Elovital Brewer’s yeast, the product contributes to a stimulation of feed intake and enhanced digestibility of feed. Due to the high concentration of vitamins and minerals and some unknown co-factors, animal health and performance is complemented.

Elovital Brewer’s yeast is produced through spray drying of the liquid brewer’s yeast which is a by-product of the brewing process. A good quality control is of the utmost importance and therefore, every brewer’s yeast batch is analysed to not exceed predetermined limits for proximate composition (moisture, crude protein and ash), plate count of yeast and mold and pathogens. The product is produced under GMP+/FamiQS conditions, which ensures safety. Every batch analysis guarantees to be free of pathogens, including Salmonella, E. coli and Clostridium perfringens. Additionally, Elovital Brewer’s yeast is a non-GMO product, which means that it is produced without genetic engineering and ingredients are not derived from GMOs.
