Amino Acids range

Individual amino acids for a balanced animal diet and optimal production

The OECD and FAO predict an average increase of the global animal protein consumption by 13% (2021-2030 outlook). To keep up with this growing demand, amino acids help to formulate balanced animal diets thus enhancing production efficiency and health status. Individual amino acids are also key ingredients for controlled feed costs and low nitrogen excretion in the environment.

Livestock challenge:

Effectively fulfill animal requirements of essential amino acids

The supply of amino acids follows the “barrel concept”: the lowest supplemented amino acid (e.g. methionine) is limiting the use in the metabolism of the other ones. Feeding vegetable protein sources will not solve this limitation as they don’t have the ideal supply in the required amino acid. Supplementing individual amino acids will compensate the shortages and balance the protein supply. Consequently, the feed production costs are targeted and excessive nitrogen excretion is prevented.
